I have some questions for youse all who know about UEFI and BIOS settings. My desktop has Windows 7 Pro and American Megatrend UEFI/BIOS. Internal hard-drive īecause I do not at all understand the choices that are found in the Options and Priority blocks, I have no idea on how to “write” the above 6 choices into Boot Options and Boot Options Priority. My question concerns the three Boot Options, and the Boot Options Priority apparently within the Legacy-BIOS portion. I have tweaked UEFI/BIOS combine to reflect as much BIOS as possible. After that the install fairly went smooth.: Added the below in the first original post to avoid “forcing everybody” to the bottom of this thread.ĪMI Aptio F6 BIOS Win7Pro Whent to advanced BIOS and I think I disabled quick boot and quiet boot. I did research and someone online said I should disable the bios so it reads the usb first. So I tried to figure it out alone, Initially when I put the windows 10 USB in, the computer would do the same thing show the logo then go to the windows boot manger error. I called Microsoft again and explained everything, asked if she could walk me thru what I needed to do she said 'its not that difficult sir' then just hung up on me. So I decided just to go buy windows 10 and install it, might as well update if I messed up the hard drive or something by losing power during the factory reset. I contacted Microsoft and emachine who gave me no help. a recent hardware or software might be the cause' The then give instructions to insert the windows installation disk and if I don't have the disk, contact the manufacturer.
